Hello,

 This post is in regards to new technology in the field of Criminal Justice. The Smart Belt is a new invention to provide improved security for the officers. It provides an accurate portrayal of the officer’s location, movement, can alert dispatch and call for back up when needed. My concern with this just with the AI entering the running of different aspects where is the human decision making at these time when maybe the program might be out of control.

My initial reaction was very surprised especially since he was saying it is wrong to shoot people you disagree with. I have heard of many different cases with people being fired for what they have posted on social media. From all different jobs this is something that has impacted so many people’s lives. Essentially the employer fired the individual over his views and post on a social media outlet about his thoughts on a public issue. The firing was legal because he did not work for a government agency which has the freedom of speech protection and in the private sector they were in their rights to fire at will if they deemed his behavior not conducive to their policies.
